Vinyl Corner privacy policy.
Last updated 4 November 2026.
In short: Vinyl Corner doesn’t collect any information about you for us. There’s no account with us, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app doesn’t send anything to a server of ours. Your music library is read on your device, and anything the app saves stays on your device or in your own iCloud.
Who we are
Vinyl Corner is made by Bit More Media Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09673233), registered office 7 Three Rivers Business Park, Felixstowe Road, Foxhall, Ipswich IP10 0BF. Questions about this policy? Email getintouch@bitmoremedia.com.
Your music service
Apple Music: with your permission, the app reads your Apple Music library (albums, playlists and play counts), searches the Apple Music catalogue and plays music through Apple’s Music app. This goes directly between your device and Apple, under Apple’s privacy policy.
Spotify: if you sign in to Spotify, the app reads your saved albums and playlists, searches Spotify’s catalogue and controls playback in the Spotify app. Your sign-in is kept in your device’s keychain. This goes directly between your device and Spotify, under Spotify’s privacy policy.
To find new releases and missing album covers, the app also looks up artist and album names in Apple’s public iTunes catalogue. These lookups don’t include who you are.
What stays on your device
The app keeps a copy of your library, your shelves, your rankings and your settings on your device so it opens quickly. Deleting the app deletes them.
Camera and photos: when you scan a shelf of records, the album names are read from the picture on your device and then searched for in your music service. The picture itself isn’t saved or sent anywhere. If you choose a photo instead, the app only sees that one photo.
Apple Intelligence: where your device supports it, the app can tidy album titles using the language model built into your device. This runs on the device and nothing is sent off it.
Widgets: what’s playing is shared with the app’s widgets through storage on your device.
iCloud
Your shelves, rankings, hidden records, chosen covers, what you’ve played and your settings sync between your devices through your own private iCloud account. We can’t see this data. Each device can stop syncing with “Sync across devices” in the app’s settings, and you can delete the app’s iCloud data in your device’s iCloud settings.
Crash reports
The app keeps its own crash and performance reports on your device. They’re only sent to us if you choose to share them, for example by email when reporting a problem. If you’ve agreed in your device’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may also send us anonymous crash reports.
If you’re testing the app through TestFlight, Apple shares some information with us, such as your name and email address if we invited you, your device model and any feedback or crash reports you send. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy notice. We only use it to improve the app.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect information about you, there’s normally nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. If you’ve emailed us, you can ask for a copy of that email or for us to delete it, and we’ll reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
